VARESE-BRINDISI: THE PRESS ROOM

Coach Attilio Caja at the end of Pallacanestro Openjobmetis Varese-Happy Casa Brindisi:

«We have had, and still have, a great deal of respect for Brindisi and we knew we had to put up a solid challenge in terms of defence and, I must say that, we did it. Our opponents are the team that pulls off three-pointers with the best percentages in the whole championship and we managed to keep them at 23%. I can only complain about a few lost balls, which we need to improve on. However, we had a great deal of positivity from several players with 5 of the lads in double figures and one with 9 points. Even Peak, who had been a bit in the shadows despite the great work he does during the week, played a high-level game. Jason Clark is just starting out and we can’t ask too much of him but he will definitely get into his stride and he’ll be able to deliver more and more. Mayo, Simmons and Vene played very well as always. It was an excellent team game, and we even did well on the rebound. We should be very pleased with ourselves».
