OPENJOBMETIS: AGREEMENT REACHED WITH LUCA CAMPANI

Pallacanestro Openjobmetis Varese is happy to announce the enrolment Luca Campani. This class 1990 player signed an agreement to play with the red-and-white club for the next two sport seasons.



The 25-year-old athlete from the Emilia region is one of the best Italian players in his role. He started to successfully draw attention in the last few seasons in the top series first with Montegranaro and then with the Cremona club. Campani can play both as power forward and as center, giving his team intensity and commitment and scaring the opponents both from inside and from outside. He has good three-point shooting abilities (44.8% in the past season) and an imposing physique, which allows him to battle also under the backboards.

Career:

This power forward/center combines strong physique and good technique. He grew with the youth teams of Treviso and then Pallacanestro Reggiana. With the latter team he played in the Legadue from 2008 to 2010. Then, he moved to Forlì, where he played for two seasons before his big leap into the Serie A with the Montegranaro club (coached by the duo Recalcati-Vanoncini). He remained in the Marche region until the end of the 2013/2014 championship. During the last season he played with the Cremona club, totaling 7.5 points with 53% of two-pointers and 44% of three-pointers 3, averaging 4,2 rebounds in 20 minutes.
