PALLACANESTRO VARESE TAKES ON CHRIS WRIGHT

Openjobmetis Varese Basketball announces that it has reached an agreement with player Chris Wright. The American point guard, born in 1989, signed a contract that will keep him at the club until the end of Red & White’s current season.

Career:

Growing up in St. John's College High School, Wright matures at the prestigious Georgetown University. In the 2011/2012 season, his first professional experience is in Turkey where he plays at Olin Edirne. Here he discovers that he suffers from multiple sclerosis. In 2012, his career is an uphill struggle but the Maryland point guard does not give up and decides not to hold back in the biggest game of his life. The following season he returns to the US to play in the D-League at Iowa Energy. After the experience with the Dallas Mavericks (3 matches and two points scored), Chris's career continues in Puerto Rico, France at Asvel Villeurbanne and again in the American development league at Bakersfield Jam. In December 2014, he is called to Pesaro. With a Vuelle jersey, he plays 15 games, scoring 16.1 points on average per game (42.5% for 2 with 3.9 rebounds and 3.4 assists), which is decisive in the battle for relegation. Wright comes to Varese after a time in Israel at Hapoel Holon.
