Gianmarco Pozzecco has gone ‘back to school’ where he has met students at IIS Eugenio Montale in Tradate as part of “Basketball: a school of life”. This initiative is promoted by Openjobmetis Basketball Varese in collaboration with the County School Office of Physical Education and Sport, together with the assistance of TEVA, a multinational pharmaceutical company and top sponsor of the Red and Whites club.

‘Poz’ was congenial and joked with the students present at the meeting and explained what it means to be a professional in the world of basketball both on the court and in everyday life. The students listened attentively to his words and then asked him questions about his experiences.

“In life,” he advised the youngsters, “you have to find a goal that you enjoy and that motivates you. You have to chase it with passion and determination and, if you happen to have any trouble, never lose heart but rather try even harder to achieve the goals you have set yourself. In life, as in sport, you should never give up.”

The meeting concluded with a traditional group photo and a long autograph session.
