REGGIO EMILIA-VARESE: THE PRESS ROOM

Coach Paolo Moretti at the end of the Grissin Bon Reggio Emilia–Openjobmetis Varese match:

“Today we started very badly while our opponents were good in attack at the outset. We both lost many balls in the first 20' but those to our disadvantage created a rift, which was then decisive. Even Reggio lost several balls in the first part, but ours were ‘fatal’ in the sense that it cost us points that we quickly lost—baskets in an open court that gave drive, energy and strength to Grissin Bon. And at home with a team like Reggio, if you don’t put them into a minimum of difficulty from the point of view of excitement, safety and certainty, the game runs away too much and there’s no way to claw it back. Unfortunately, we aren’t so consistent in times if difficulty—we aren’t able to find the strength and the right choices to contain negative moments and, in this, we still have to make progress.”
