SASSARI-VARESE: THE PRESS ROOM

“We have to applaud Sassari, who played a good game. As far as we are concerned, we totally screwed up the pace in offense – we weren’t able to handle attacks against a team like Banco di Sardegna, who then punished us with transitions – the trademark of Sassari players. Despite the first quarter being balanced, the feeling is that my team didn’t understand the attitude that was required in a match like this. In the end, the gap, considering the values on court, reflects a situation which sees us in big trouble from the roster perspective, which was also highlighted by Maalik Wayns’ injury during the match.”
