A special evening of red and white passion and the warmth of its fans.
Late yesterday afternoon, at the Balthazar in Varese, the traditional end-of-season meeting of Pallacanestro Varese was held, a convivial moment that officially sanctioned the team’s “parting of the ways.” Numerous fans wanted to be present to say goodbye to players, technical staff and managers, once again confirming the strong bond that unites the city to its team. Throughout the evening there was no shortage of smiles, photographs, autographs and many moments of sharing that made the atmosphere particularly warm and participatory.
The club would like to thank all supporters who attended for the affection shown throughout the season and at this final event. Special thanks also to Balthazar for their hospitality and welcome to the red and white family.
With Tuesday night’s farewell, the sports season officially comes to a close, with our eyes already turned to the future and next year, ready to experience new emotions together.
UNDER 23 MINUTES
The ranking involves both Clubs opting to use the 5+5 formula and those choosing the 6+6 formula. Up for grabs is a total prize of 250,000 euros to be divided among the top 5 Clubs with the best percentage of use of athletes of Italian Under 23 citizenship and training. Recall that the calculation of this percentage is made by dividing the minutes played by these athletes by the total minutes at the end of the 27th day of the championship.
Among them, the minutes of Under-21 athletes are multiplied by 2, while the minutes of Under-23 athletes who have been registered for at least two seasons useful for the completion of training for their club are multiplied by 3.
In the final processing of minutes, Openjobmetis Varese takes first place by fielding Italian and lineup players for 1551 minutes, ahead of Banco di Sardegna Sassari (1500 minutes) and Nutribullet Treviso Basket (1212 minutes). Completing the Top Five are Dolomiti Energia Trentino and Vanoli Basket Cremona.
