KASTRITIS: «WE CONTROLLED THE GAME FROM START TO FINISH»

Giannis Kastritis’ comments following BMA365 Bamberg Baskets-Itelyum Varese:

«After our home loss to Peristeri, we wanted to win and knew we had to. Bamberg was in the same situation as us, so we expected a tough game against a highly motivated team. We controlled the game from the start, and our players did a great job of approaching it the right way. Bamberg is a very aggressive team and extremely dangerous in transition and on the offensive boards, but we managed to impose our physicality and limit their strengths. We played the game we wanted to play, finding opportunities to run the floor and making the right decisions on offense. Our approach was key. We’re still a team in the making, and everyone made an important contribution, showing that they understood the importance of this challenge and had a strong desire to compete. We knew we needed a win, but we also wanted to make progress in the areas we’re working on, building on what we learn from game to game. Finally, I want to thank our fans who followed and supported us even here in Bamberg: their support is always very important to us».
