Comments by Giannis Kastritis following the Longobardi Scafati Basket vs. Pallacanestro Varese game:
«First of all, I’d like to congratulate my team, because winning on the road is never a given. We knew it wouldn’t be easy here in Scafati, against a team that would bring a lot of energy and enthusiasm to the court, and that’s why I’m very pleased with the effort and attitude the guys showed. We’re still early in the season and we’re building our process, trying to establish solid habits both on and off the court. We know we have a long season ahead of us, and we’re working to improve day by day, both offensively and defensively. That’s why I think it’s important that we managed to take another step forward tonight. Now our European campaign in the Basketball Champions League is about to begin, and over the next two weeks we’ll be playing practically every two or three days. We’ll need to keep up this growth, improving both on offense and defense while also trying to rack up as many wins as possible. Finally, I want to thank the many fans who’ve followed us all the way from Varese to here: feeling their support even this far from home has been really important to us».
