Pallacanestro Varese is pleased to announce that, starting next season, Tommaso Sacchetti will join the First Team’s coaching staff as an assistant to head coach Giannis Kastritis, working alongside assistant coach Matteo Jemoli. Sacchetti joins the First Team staff after having already been part of the red-and-white family last season, when he served as head coach of Varese Basketball’s Under-19 team and Serie B squad, distinguishing himself through his work in nurturing and developing young talent.
“I’m very happy and honored to join the coaching staff of Pallacanestro Varese’s first team ,” he said . “For me, this won’t be just another job. I thank the club and Coach Kastritis for the trust they’ve placed in me—a trust I’ll strive to repay with my utmost commitment and dedication. On top of all this, there are even deeper motivations: I played for many years in the youth teams in Varese, as did my brother; my father was the captain of this team; and last season, I had the privilege of coaching the Varese Basketball teams. I grew up in this city, alongside my family and friends, and for this reason, the desire to give a little extra every day will come completely naturally. I can’t wait to start this new adventure.”
At the same time, the Club announces that Federico Renzetti will continue his role within the Biancorossi coaching staff as Head of Player Development, a position through which he will continue to monitor and support the individual development of athletes on both the First Team and the youth teams of Varese Basketball.
We wish Tommaso and Federico all the best in their work this new season, confident that their expertise, professionalism, and dedication will be an asset in helping the Club achieve its goals.
