A day that will remain etched in the memories of thousands of students, families, and fans. The Varese School Cup final transformed the Itelyum Arena into a true celebration of sports and youth participation, reaffirming its status as one of the most engaging events on the local school and sports scene.
More than 5,000 spectators filled every seat in the arena, creating an extraordinary atmosphere: continuous, colorful, and engaging cheering—yet always respectful—that reflected a strong sense of belonging to their schools. It was a rare kind of energy, capable of uniting competition and respect, passion and camaraderie.
On the court, the action was just as thrilling. The championship game once again pitted two historic powerhouses of the competition against each other—Liceo Scientifico Ferraris and ITET Daverio Casula Nervi—reaffirming a rivalry that has become a hallmark of the event. After an intense and hard-fought match, Daverio Casula Nervi claimed the title, winning 42–39 in overtime.
Applause also went to the semifinalists, Liceo Stein Gavirate and Liceo Manzoni Varese, who have demonstrated great athletic and personal character throughout their journey.
AN EVENT THAT GOES BEYOND BASKETBALL
The final was the culmination of a journey that involved hundreds of students not only on the court, but in a wide variety of areas: from the dance crews, who put on spectacular performances, to the media teams, who covered the event through content, interviews, and storytelling, to the design and communication groups, who played an active role in shaping the tournament’s visual identity.
An ecosystem in which every student was able to find their place, express their talents, and discover new passions. A concrete example of how sports can serve as a catalyst for skills, creativity, and personal growth.
